The decision to create your very own resort hideaway at home is no mean feat, but as this superb pool enclosure shows … anything is possible when you add a little Essentially Residential magic.

Dazzling in its design and execution, yet stylish in its simplicity this outdoor oasis par excellence accommodates a fully solar heated pool, lap pool with viewing window, spa plus outdoor kitchen.

Natural textures abound from the limestone coping wrapped around the spa, to the raw layered effect on the stone feature wall that separates the pools. Water cascades over the wall from the lap pool to the wading pool, down to recessed seating – the ideal spot to enjoy a refreshing drink.

The signature centerpiece is the sheer descent water feature backed with rich russet glass bamboo tiles.

After a refreshing dip, guests can rinse off in an outdoor shower that offers the most spectacular view imaginable.

The entertainment area beckons with a promise of comfort, good food and great company or a special solitary spot to escape with a good book. Nobody’s leisure has been overlooked - the design even features an outdoor courtyard purpose-built for Bear the family pooch.

The custom outdoor kitchen features Stainless Steel 316 Marine Grade construction bench tops and framing strikingly offset with japanned marine ply.  Everything has been designed down to the finest detail – even the flap bin was purpose-built to fit the space. Here you’ll find a literal al fresco chef’s paradise complete with wood fired pizza oven, BBQ and wok burner.

Natural effects and textures add an aesthetic but solid feel including 200 x 200 recycled posts and recycled timber ceiling beams, and a natural stone polished concrete floor with pre-cast concrete treads. LED lighting has been used throughout, enhanced with the warm burnish of copper feature lights.

Handcrafted timber bi-fold shutters protect the retreat from the elements but open to a tranquil rural panorama that feeds the soul.

From the outset, the owners’ long-held dream for this project was to create the ultimate entertainment and relaxation haven with a resort-style feel. Mission accomplished!
